In Hyrule's Parallel world, Termina, there are two sisters, Cremia and Romani, who reside at Romani Ranch just outside of Clock Town. These two girls are parallels of Malon from Hyrule. Cremia, the eldest, appears as Malon's adult form while Romani appears as her child form. By getting to know these characters, we understand more about Malon. We get to see more of her personality both as a child and an adult. As Aonuma-san himself stated, Majora's Mask gives gamers more insight into some of Ocarina of Time's minor characters; we get a better look at them (SOURCE).
Romani is a cheerful, energetic little girl who, like Malon, gives Link a nickname: "grasshopper". At a young age, she shows her
dedication to the business. She takes it upon herself to take up a bow and practice shooting so that she may rid the ranch of the aliens
who abduct her cattle. Malon shows incentive to do more than her part by staying behind to take care of the horses and putting up with
Ingo, so it's no surprise to see that Romani would show incentive as well. We can assume that, if Romani can use a bow, then so too could
Malon. If Malon could set the record for a horseback-riding obstacle course, so could Romani or Cremia. As strong as Romani is, however,
she doesn't mind taking up a more passive role when it comes to Link:
And, like Malon, Romani has no problem being social- she even tells Link he's cute!
Cremia is a strong, independent woman. She cares for her sister and owns Romani ranch which she inherited from her late father. She risks
her safety to ensure that her business succeeds by delivering Chateau Romani, a delicious milk drink, to the Clock Town milk bar. She
lives a busy life and tends to keep her personal feelings private. Her little sister, Romani, reveals that Cremia is broken-hearted on
My sister, Cremia, has someone in town she likes...
But that person will get married the day of the carnival.
It's hard for my sister...
Going into town..."
Like Malon, Cremia is a romantic at heart. She fell in love with her best friend's fiance, Kafei. She endures the heartbreak in order to support her family and business. From this, we can assume that Malon may have had similar feelings toward Link, but she knew that he had to save Hyrule. Cremia is also a little hard on herself. If you fail to help her deliver her milk safely, she tells herself that she has failed as a ranch manager. However, if you do succeed, she considers Link an adult since he did a good deed. She even acknowledges Romani becoming an adult by allowing her to have her first drink of Chateau Romani on the 3rd day as the moon falls.
